Project Description
The purpose of this project was to develop an evidence base for the future provision of public open space to meet the open space, sport and recreation needs of the current and future communities of the Liverpool Collaboration Area. This intensive development area will become a key CBD in the region which will see growth of more than 40,000 residents and 17,000 workers in the next 15 years
The project outcomes included:
- Open space provision standards in Liverpool.
- Proposed open space planning framework for Liverpool collaboration area.
- Open space assessment including provision, demand modelling, costing and funding.
Our role in the project included:
- Project lead, supported by Parkland Planners and CGM Planning.
- Background research and analysis of existing green infrastructure.
- Focused stakeholder engagement.
- Demographic and land use analysis.
- Benchmarking and development of planning and provision framework specific to the Collaboration Area.
