Project Description
Otium was appointed by Logan City Council to undertake river assessments and feasibility scoping for the development of canoe trails to complement the existing trails in the mid to lower sections of the Logan and Albert Rivers.
The project included assessment of the two rivers for feasibility of establishing canoe or paddle trails and identification and assessment of potential landing and access points.
Once identified, an implementation strategy for the feasible sections of the rivers including definitions of three standards/hierarchies of access point and the model infrastructure required at each was developed, including a prioritised implementation plan and recommendations on signage, communications and promotion.
