Otium Planning Group was engaged by Logan City Council to undertake a feasibility analysis in order to provide clear direction regarding the future use and development of the former Rochedale Rovers Soccer Club Clubhouse at Underwood Park.
This feasibility study recommended a new Community Centre be co-located within the site and to explore partnership opportunities to develop the site into a hospitality training facility. Following the adoption of the Feasibility Study, Otium Planning Group was engaged to prepare a facility mix and lead the development of a Site Infrastructure Plan.
The Site Infrastructure Plan incorporated a facility mix and concept design that accommodated the following new facility elements to Underwood Park:
· Community Centre
· Multi-purpose Indoor Sports Facility
· Café/Restaurant, Retail and Administration
· Football Clubhouse
· Netball Clubhouse, change room and courts
· Car parking/access arrangements & BMX seating
· Storage
· Meeting Rooms
· Meals on Wheels
Following completion of the Site Development Plan, Logan City Council secured $9M in funding from the Queensland Government to develop Stage 1 of the site improvements.
